ABOUT US
Temuku Ubud
We are excited to introduce Temuku Villas, Temuku Spa and Temuku Restaurant & Bar. We offer eleven new modern villas, each with private garden and pool, beautifully designed and built with respect to Balinese tradition, providing full service and modern comfort, nestled in a quiet, secluded location on the edge of Ubud.
The name Temuku carries more than one meaning. In Indonesian, it refers to meet me, in Balinese it is a small connection with flowing water between levels of rice fields, a part of the ancient Subak irrigation system.
Temuku expresses privacy, service, luxury and a strong connection to land and local traditions.
Temuku Villas are located in the village of Lungsiakan, between endless rice fields and a deep river ravine on the western edge of Ubud, the spiritual and cultural heart of the island of Bali. With a name deriving from the Malay word obat, which means medicine, as far back as 8th century Ubud became a place where royal families from all over Bali sent their loved ones for healing. In the past century, Ubud became known as an important destination for exploring Balinese art, music and dance, and famous local healers.
It is a perfect location to discover all our island can offer: stunning landscape, exquisite nature adventures, fascinating customs and traditions, a vibrant art and food scene, ultimately a journey of rejuvenation and inspiration.
